Mr Singy!

This is Mr Singy! Named as such because I wasn't very creative, and he has a wind up music box! The music box doesn't completely work anymore, and I'm a little too scared to open him up to fix it, but you can hear what it sounds like here! It's a rendition of Elvis' Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear.

Mr Singy is a Merrythought Oak Leaf bear, specifically from 2000, I believe when he was new he had a little tag that said he was a 2000 millenium bear, and he also had a very darling little bow that has been lost to the ravages of time (thank you to Leanne of Merrythought for helping me identify him ^_^)!

I believe he was given to me when I was born, but I'm really not 100% sure on that. I can never remember him really being my all-time favourite when I was a kid, I've always enjoyed his mohair fur, but I think his harder body from the music box and knowing that he was a little expensive put a bit of a wall between us... In learning more about him now though I'm really charmed by him. He's just a sweet little guy! I'm especially glad that I have him now because I love having a traditional teddy bear from a local Shropshire company... and I don't need to pay the current prices for their bears!
